PBSC is a national network of law schools, lawyers and community organizations, with programmes at every Canadian law school.  It was established in 1996 by Dean Ron Daniels and former Assistant Dean (now Madame Justice) Bonnie Croll of the University of Toronto, Faculty of Law.  The National Office provides guidance and support for each individual school programme. The National Office organizes a National Conference with all Coordinators every year.

Over the ten years of its existence at UBC, PBSC enjoys strong partnerships with UBC law students and has garnered the trust and support of many existing non-profit and community organizations. We have received the support of UBC Law Faculty members and law school administrators, as well as the support and assistance of the law firm McCarthy Tétrault LLP, PBSC’s national law firm partner. We have also gained the support and assistance of a variety of legal professionals from around the Lower Mainland.
